DESCRIPTION
The Chrysalis puts both bedrooms and both bathrooms in a wing of their own at one end of the plan, with the open living space and the garage occupying everything else. The master runs 12′-4″ x 12′-8″ with a 7′-0″ x 8′-0″ walk-in closet and a matching 7′-0″ x 8′-0″ ensuite; the second bedroom at 12′-4″ x 9′-6″ sits beside it with the 8′-10″ x 8′-8″ main bath between them and the living space. On the other side, a 15′-0″ x 14′-2″ family room with a fireplace opens to the dining area and a 13′-10″ x 10′-10″ kitchen, with an attached double garage off the foyer.

Chrysalis, answered.
What's included in the Chrysalis price?
The starting price covers the home built to spec, delivered and installed on a prepared foundation. Foundation, site preparation, servicing, permits and development charges sit outside it and are quoted separately against your lot. The Chrysalis spreads across a 65′-0″ by 44′-0″ footprint including the attached garage, so excavation, driveway and servicing runs are larger jobs here than on a compact model.
How are the bedrooms and living space arranged?
Both bedrooms sit in a wing of their own at one end of the plan, with the bathrooms between them and the rest of the house. The master runs 12′-4″ x 12′-8″ with a 7′-0″ x 8′-0″ walk-in closet and an ensuite of the same size; the second bedroom is 12′-4″ x 9′-6″. Everything else — the 15′-0″ x 14′-2″ family room, the dining area and the 13′-10″ x 10′-10″ kitchen — occupies the opposite side, so the sleeping end stays clear of the entry and the garage.
Does the Chrysalis come with a garage?
Yes — a 21′-0″ x 23′-0″ attached double garage is part of the plan as drawn, not an add-on. Two vehicles are shown side by side, and it opens onto the foyer rather than directly into the living space. It’s a significant part of the building’s footprint, so it affects both your lot coverage and your driveway budget.
What size lot does the Chrysalis need?
The building measures 65′-0″ wide by 44′-0″ deep at its outer extents, including the garage. It’s an L-shaped footprint rather than a full rectangle, so it doesn’t fill that whole envelope — but setbacks are measured to the outermost walls, so that’s the area to plan against. Your municipality’s lot coverage limit and setbacks are what actually govern, and those vary by zone.
Where does the staircase go?
Down to the foundation level or upstairs — what’s there is your choice. The plan shows a stair beside the foyer marked DN, which can serve either a crawl space or a full basement depending on what you need and what your lot allows. A crawl space keeps the foundation simpler and the site budget lower; a full basement adds usable square footage at a higher excavation cost. That decision is made at the site review and quoted against your property, since frost depth, soil and water table all bear on it.
Can the layout be changed?
Yes — the Chrysalis is a starting point, not a fixed drawing. The living side is the more flexible half, since the family room, dining area and kitchen sit in one open run with few fixed walls between them. Changes that move plumbing or exterior walls cost more than changes that don’t, so raise them before the drawings are finalised rather than after.
